Translating means much more than simply transposing words from one language into another. Translation is art!

With this in mind I take up the challenges of the translating profession, committing myself to offering high quality translation and interpreting services in order to ensure effective communication by bringing people from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds closer together.

I am a freelance translator and interpreter, Italian native speaker, and I have been living in Austria for many years. I offer professional translation and interpreting services for the following language combinations: Italian <> German and English > Italian. Furthermore I am a member of the Austrian Translators’ and Interpreters’ Association, UNIVERSITAS Austria, and I am active on the Italian, Austrian, German and Swiss markets.

Graduated in Translation and Interpreting Studies (3-year university program at the Institute for Translation and Interpreting Studies of Turin and 5-year program in Translation and Interpreting Studies at the Institute for Theoretical and Applied Translation and Interpreting Studies at the Karl-Franzens-University of Graz) and specialised in conference interpreting, I rely on a solid academic background which serves as a basis for exercising my profession. My university education is complimented by extensive professional experience, ranging from Italian language training and tutorials in consecutive and simultaneous interpreting (at the Institute for Theoretical and Applied Translation and Interpreting Studies of Graz) to various translation and interpreting assignments for direct clients as well as translation and interpreting agencies.

Each translation assignment is carried out by me personally. This enables the client to develop a direct relationship with the person who is actually in charge of the translation and aims at better meeting his/her specific needs. Moreover I can rely on the precious collaboration of a network of specialised translators to cover a wide range of areas of expertise with my translation services. In this way, I can always guarantee an optimal and accurate result in terms of content and terminology.

Interpreting is the second focus of my activity. As a professional conference interpreter, my main purpose is to ensure smooth and effective communication between people with different linguistic and cultural backgrounds in a wide range of settings. The service I offer includes simultaneous interpreting for conferences and congresses, consecutive interpreting, liaison interpreting, whisper interpreting, interpreting for negotiations, for delegations, during visits to production sites, for business meetings and sales presentations, for trade fairs and telephone interpreting.

My priority is to guarantee, above all, high quality, punctuality and accuracy. In other words I am a solid partner who my clients can rely on when they seek professional translation, interpreting or language support services.
