My rates vary according to difficulty and length: I also try to satisfy my clients requests as much as I can, giving them a discount or meeting a tight deadline without charging extra. I proofread also. I have a varied experience of proofreading: I have proofread at least 100,000 thousand words in one year.
Send me your translation: I will examine it and tell you if I accept it, if I can meet your deadline, how much I am thinking of charging. The final rate is decided between you and me: if it is a first translation with me, I will certainly give you a discount. I also give discounts for length of translation and for loose deadlines.
I work in tandem with another translator: I proofread his translations and he proofreads mine. So you can be sure that TWO people have examined your translation. The way I work is this: I read your text, do some terminology research and then I make a rough copy. After that, I go through the translation slowly and with care, examining it also for consistency. When this part of the translation is over, I send it to my friend, who will proofread it. After that, I examine it a last time and send it to you.
