Estoy traduciendo una Declaración de Conformidad del inglés al español escrita por un alemán. La firma del documento está acompañada del cardo y de "Dipl.-Phys.-Ing.".

Podría alguien indicarme como suelen traducir/interpretarlo al castellano.

Según entiendo el licenciado en Ingeniería corresponde en Alemán al Ingenieur, mientras que el Diplom-Ingenieur requiere una maestría (master).

Pero como los sistemas universitarios son tan diferentes en los varios países, se debería revisar este término muy cuidadosamente.

No, la diplomatura alemana se corresponde con la licenciatura espanhola, es decir, 5 anhos de estudios. Un Diplom-Übersetzer es un licenciado en traducción, etc. La diplomatura espanhola son tres anhos de estudios.

Ahora, reconozco que no sé cómo se correspondería con los títulos latinoamericanos.

Pero el mundo de los títulos alemanes es inabarcable, así que no estoy segura al cien por cien.

En cualquier caso, yo me plantearía dejarlo como en el original, en alemán, ya que es lo que ha hecho el autor en el texto inglés.
