May. 13, 2008, 09:55 GMTDomanda connessa Etude de formation linguistique d’anglais
English Language Proficiency Training
If it was more specific, I could give you a better title. It probably refers to the courses Unis put on to get someone's English up to the required level for the course. On the other had it may be a TEFL or TESOL course. Hard to tell from that.

Maître
Keep the french I can't remember where I read but I read that since this is such a specific title, it needs to be kept. I have done so in four translations now, with no complaints.

In-house process
That one of your suggestions seems best. It is commercial French so the individual words might not have much meaning on their own.

Apr. 6, 2008, 22:40 GMTDomanda connessa la partie la plus diligente
the first party to do so
I have had this one before and a previous search turned this up. It is a nice, simple translation.

Mar. 28, 2008, 12:23 GMTDomanda connessa financiers restaurateurs de loteries
restauranteurs running private lotteries
A bit poor in style maybe but it gets the meaning across and is simple.

Mar. 20, 2008, 16:49 GMTDomanda connessa adhérer
adhere to
Believe it or not, in this situation good old literalism might be best. It gives you the full width of meaning. You could also use "follow" or "comply with," depends on who the document is going to be for.

render current
If this is what software houses use here, then it is usable, if pretty poor english. Were it not for that, I'd have picked refresh.

Mar. 14, 2008, 16:06 GMTDomanda connessa vous vous exposeriez â
you may be liable for
It sounds slightly more legal and has less Victorian connotations, if any. You are right with your feelings about "you expose yourself." I imagine that would not be welcome at this meeting!

Mar. 11, 2008, 12:49 GMTDomanda connessa une solution globale et sur mesure selon vos besoins...
A comprehensive made-to-measure solution according to your needs
Made-to-measure has the same meaning as tailored but the alliteration reenforces it in people's memory.

Unless it was a study on English language teaching, testing how well it is done.

The in-house comes from the same idea as a "company" car, ie its comes with the job or is part of the job.

I did all the research on this term for a contract. I also think that "due diligence" is a US and not UK term. The meaning in both cases is simply "the first party to take the case to court."

This one works too.

It is a simple case of the first party to do whatever it takes.

This translation contains a faux ami. Diligent has too many other meanings in English.

Translators drinking? How unexpected... You do realize every alcoholic drink kills braincells. ;-)

Actually Jane is wrong here, this is one of the better ways of translating it.

In the EU, you use adhesion and adhere to to mean "join"
