Pasti difficoltosi, problematici? Si tratta del nome dato a uno degli elementi presi in considerazione nello studio (qui si riferisce al nome che appare in una tabella). Dovrebbe riferirsi ai capricci che fanno i bambini/ragazzi quando non vogliono mangiare qualcosa o forse non mangiare affatto.

"Problem meals" was indicated if meals were hardly ever pleasant and there were frequent struggles about eating.

Pasti problematici

Un'idea un po' scontata. Secondo me non sono tanto i "capricci", ma qualcosa di più complesso, soprattutto se riferito ai disturbi dell'alimentazione.

Avversione alimentare

I would suggest "avversione" as it seems to be more of a psychological resistance here, rather than a pathological one (in this last case I would use "intolleranza" instead). I hope this helps
