DEPENDE....

You may register at the registration desk at any time during the four-day event.

OR

You may sign in at the registration desk at any time etc.

Hay que averiguar si esas personas están: pre-registradas ou no. Si están pre-registradas, es: sign in at the registration desk [or table] or counter [lo que sea, no sé].

Jane.. you are so helpful... thanks.. i like register that can apply if they are pre-registered or not... am I right?

or " to register"

Jane Lamb-Ruiz Disagree

No, enroll is for schools.

To enroll in an English class.

To enroll in a school.

Enroll is not used for events.

Nov. 8, 00:58 GMT

Nov. 8, 11:30 GMT

you also enrol the navy or the army, but not this

Registrarse

Registrarse = Registration

Wrong LANGUAGE, Olga...wake-up...:)

Nov. 7, 21:23 GMT

sign up or sign in and attend the event at any time during the four days.

We say register or sign up for an event (not previously signed up)

We say Sign in for the event (if previously signed up)

That covers all possibilities.

Nov. 8, 01:06 GMT

Aclaración (clarification) importante.

This is kind of similar to what you do when you are on line. For example, you register or sign up (one time) at Yahoo or Gmail. Then every time you want to check your mail you sign in or out...

Nov. 8, 11:35 GMT

I Agree with Jane, because this way you can apply it to both, registered and not previously registered

Answer is accepted.

Suerte!

Gabriela

Present your credentials as a professional

My opinion is that a professional at this type of conference needs to present credentials as a speaker or representative of a company to obtain special access that just regular attendees would not be granted.

Right on !

Nov. 7, 23:58 GMT

Gracias, Olga. De todos modos, ya lo habías dicho.

Nov. 8, 01:15 GMT

Nov. 8, 14:25 GMT

In other contexts, that's true. But not here. It would only apply to journalists, for instance. Unless it is some kind of "closed-door, by-invitation-only" event...
