Ricardo Martínez de la Torre, Certified Translator-Interpreter, English <> Spanish. Born in San Francisco, California, Ricardo earned B.S. in Business Administration degree from Kent University. After graduating from college Ricardo held different positions in the airline industry, Braniff, Aeroperú and Laker Airlines. After receiving his MBA degree from the University of South Florida in 1987, Ricardo worked in the healthcare industry, where he held the post of Director of Corporate Development for International Medical Centers (HMO), and was the CEO of the Aloha Medical Group. A resident of Chile since 1992, Ricardo earned a Graduate Degree in Hospital Administration from the School of Public Health at the University of Chile, as well as a Translator – Interpreter Certificate from EATRI (The American School of Translation and Interpretation) and is a member of the American Translators Association (ATA). Ricardo has worked as a principal conference interpreter and translator since 1994. Ricardo is Managing Partner of Chilean Language Services, and in addition to being a principal conference interpreter, he also supervises the company's technological development. Born in New York, Judy has been a resident of Chile since 1972. Judy graduated from the Universidad de Santiago de Chile, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in 1986. That same year Judy received her certification as a Commercial Engineer. In 1993, Judy obtained her degree as Translator and Conference Interpreter from ELADI, where she graduated with honors. Judy is a Managing Partner, and in addition to her duties as principal conference interpreter, she supervises the final production of all translated products. Judy can be reached at jrojas@clschile.com Marcela Lorca González, Certified Translator, English & French <> Spanish - Project Supervisor Marcela comes to Chilean Language Services after working as full-time translator for Berlitz Global Net and E-Translate on projects such as Compaq Computers, Intel, Oracle, and Nortel Telecommunications. Born in Chile, Marcela earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Linguistics and Translation from the Catholic University of Chile in 1998. In 1999, Marcela received the San Jeronimo award for graduating first in her class. At Chilean Language Services Marcela's responsibilities include translation of software and hardware documentation, web pages, and other technical topics. Monserratt Capdevila Fuenzalida, Certified Translator, English & German <> Spanish - Project Supervisor Monserratt graduated from the Catholic University of Chile in 1996, earning a Bachelors Degree English and German > Spanish translation. Born in Chile, Monserratt comes to Chilean Language Services from the NGO RIMISP, where she participated in many technical translation projects. Paulina Alejandra Gonzalez Rojas Linguist – Assistant Editor. Working closely with our Senior Editor, Paulina's area of responsibility will be to ensure the cultural and technical accuracy in all of our translations. A native of Chile, María Antonieta earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from Universidad Católica de Chile. In addition to her responsibilities at Chilean Language Services, Paulina is a Senior Consultant to the Latin Immersion Network. María Antonieta Rossi Moya, Certified Translator – Assistant Editor. Working closely with our Senior Editor, María Antonieta oversees our base of specialty consultants in order to ensure cultural and technical accuracy in all of our translations. A native of Chile, María Antonieta earned her B.Ed., and her M.A. in Linguistics from the University of Santiago de Chile. In addition to her responsibilities at Chilean Language Services, María Antonieta is an Associate Professor of English at the University of the Pacific in Santiago, Chile. Ana María Urra Goméz, Certified Translator, English & French <> Spanish. Prior to joining Chilean Language Services, Ana María worked as a translator at the law offices of Sargent & Krahn, Patent Attorneys, where she translated complex pharmaceutical and industrial patent applications. Born in Chile, Ana María lived in Calgary, Canada. She returned to Chile to attend the Catholic University of Chile, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Linguistics in 1996. Proficient in English and French, Ana María is a welcomed new member of the Chilean Language Services Team. Marcela Cecilia Garcia Vargas, Accountant - Certified Translator – Interpreter, English <> Spanish A graduate of the Catholic University of Chile, Marcela's area of expertise is the computer and telecommunications field. Prior to joining Chilean Languages Services, Marcela worked as a full-time translator for Berlitz Global Net and E-Translate, in projects such as Compaq Computers, Intel, Oracle, and Nortel Telecommunications. Sergio Sánchez Cofré, Certified Translator and Conference Interpreter, English & Spanish. Sergio graduated from EATRI (American School of Translation and Interpretation) in 1990. Born in Chile, Sergio comes to Chilean Language Services from E-translate, where he participated in technical translation projects dealing with computer software, web page localization, help files and many others. Paula Andrea Orellana Cuevas, Certified Translator, English <> Spanish Paula received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Translation from the Catholic University of Chile in 1998. Prior to joining Chilean Language Services, Paula worked as full-time translator for Medizinetechnik Ballek & Menner, S.A., Berlitz Global Net and E-Translate. Paula Caraa Carraha, Certified Translator-Interpreter, English <> Spanish Paula received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Translation and interpretation from ELADI (Latin American School of Translation and Interpretation) and holds a graduate degree in Arabian Culture and Language. Paula is a principal translator and interpreter, specializing in telecommunications and computer hardware and software and formerly worked as a full-time translator for Berlitz Global Net and E-Translate. Christian Sandoval Neira, Certified Translator, English <> Spanish Christian receieved his Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Universidad Metropolitana de Ciencias de la Educación in 1997. Prior to joining Chilean Language Services, Christian worked as full-time translator for Zesaurus Traductores, S.A. and Berlitz Global Net.
