SERVICE

As an independent translator and transcriptionist, I am entirely focussed on meeting and exceeding my customers' needs. I provide regular status updates, a high level of service and can demonstrate a willingness to be flexible to keep pace with fast changing requirements.

CAPACITY

I work towards a daily output of approximately 2000 words. I specialise in short, commercial texts with a quick turnaround. I can transcribe approx 30 minutes of German audio into English per day. 

WORK EXPERIENCE

My fluency in German stems from a seven year residency in Germany, including during that time working in a variety of commercial situations giving me a broad active vocabulary in the business sector.

TRANSLATION EXPERIENCE

I've been working as a freelance translator for the last two years. My experience includes medical, business and market research. 

Most of my employed positions both in Germany, Switzerland and UK involved a large measure of translation duties, including translation of promotional and marketing material, catalogues, menus, presentations, reports, supplier manuals, supplier and client correspondence etc. amounting to approximately 4 years translation experience. Most recently, I have been volunteering with Ashoka.org as a translator from German to English.

I have also been responsible for supplier and client interpreting in both German and French.

TRANSCRIPTION EXPERIENCE

I have been working freelance as a German-English transcriptionist for the last three years. My experience ranges from medical market research interviews to business financial teleconferences.
