QUALITY OF TECHNICAL TRANSLATION Technical translation is transfer of the information and stylistic peculiarities of the source text to other language. In other words, the source text and technical translation should carry one and the same message. I consider that translation as qualitative technical translation which most precisely and authentically transfers meaning of the source text. Qualitative technical translation should read "easily" in target language. Technical translation should not be perceived as translation, but the text that has been originally written for target language. The basic complicacies of technical translation from experience: - The original technical text is repeatedly corrected during translation.
- Technical text, translated, is not a final version.
- Technical text is written or printed illegibly and contains spelling mistakes.
- Technical translation of a fragment of the text (large text) can be done inadequately in case of difficultly to understand meaning of the source text.
- Separate words or the illustrations - explaining meaning of the text in the source technical text - are omitted or are absent.
- Technical text contains abbreviations.

DIFFERENCE IN TRANSLATINGI have a different approach towards translation and I use different techniques while translating, which other translators seldom bother about. While translating, I search the subject matter on Internet and collect the required information. My vast search has given me large number of domain-wise materials. I also read materials from bilingual (Russian, English) websites to improve translation quality as part of my R&D work.
