Legal secretary with some paralegal work. General office/receptionist duties including typing, greeting and dealing with clients, making appointments, filing. Drafting of some pleadings.
April – July 2001 London.
Contracting attorney position. Worked on a large caseload of Civil/Family litigation.
Primary goal was to gain client trust and confidence with communication skills whilst managing caseload efficiently.
Emphasis on expedient familiarization with pertinent facts of each case for the purpose of analysis and assessment of next step.
All necessary steps undertaken to progress case as soon as initial analysis complete. To include urgent correspondence, settlement negotiations, drafting of pleadings and court appearances.

1997 – 2000 Essex, UK
Continued to practice both Civil Litigation and Family Law to include Personal Injury and Commercial Litigation.
Continued to develop in the area of Ancillary Relief (financial settlements within Divorce Proceedings).
Following some major changes to the Law relating to pension division on divorce there was extensive litigation in the Family Courts. Continuing legal education was vital at this point.
Subsequent to the learning curve, new skills acquired were utilized in the drafting of pleadings and entire procedural approach to this litigation. Extensive in house discussions and feedback within the department was necessary in order to create a professional and efficient team.
Emergency applications made for Injunctive Relief relating to disposal of joint matrimonial assets.
