Antoinette Chappell

After completing my BA in Modern Languages (French and Italian) I then went on to become a Language teacher to children between the ages of 11-18. Due to family commitments I decided to pursue a home-based career in translation. I completed my MA in translation at the University of Surrey in September 2007 and was awarded a distinction.

During my course I translated a wide variety of texts from business and financial to journalistic and technical texts. For my dissertation I chose to translate an annual report from an Italian bank.

I have been actively working as a freelance translator since 2007. In 2010 I aught a Practical Translation course to undergraduates and MA students at Aston University in Birmingham.

Rates are negotiable depending on the project size, time frame and whether the project will be done using Trados or not. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you wish to discuss a particular project.
