I was responsible for about 50 projects. Using CAT tools, communicating with vendors from Hungary and with project managers from all over the world, translating, proofreading were all my daily routine. My main fields were IT & marketing, mobile telephony, manuals, domestic appliances, user guides, training materials, navigation devices, general materials requiring good writing skills. I also had some technical projects and in addition to a large portion of IT projects I handled all the medical projects in the office. Please note, however, that above intermediate level I always outsourced the medical jobs to trained physicians. Many of my end clients were Fortune 500 companies.

10/2004 – 10/2005     External Translator of the European Parliament

I was working on a daily basis from Hungary as a freelancer. This was a very interesting job. I translated minutes, draft reports, draft opinions, petitions and amendments in 80% from English and in 20% from French.

06/2004 – 12/2004     Data Enrty

I participated in the digitalisation of the index cards of the Hungarian National Library. After a few months I became responsible for the overall quality and for resolving questions in-house before contacting the client.

07/2001 – 12/2002     Social Service Translator

Translation of medico-ethical and psychological texts, many of them published in Kharón, the Hungarian Journal of Thanatology.

06/1999 – 06/2001     Freelance translator             

I practically translated everything from manuals and intermediate technical texts to contracts and journal articles from French and from English.
