-Translations for the company Bosques del Plata S.A. (Protisa), from CMPC, a Chilean company dedicated to forestry,  and pulp and paper production. From 1999 till 2006. Among them: A Socio-economic Study of the Impacts of Botnia S.A. Pulp Mill.
- Innovation and learning in global value chains. - Control of global value chains: an Analytical Framework.
From Spanish into English: 1) The Argentine Forester Association; 2) Main Goals of AFOA; 3) The Present Situation of the Forestry Sector in Argentina; 4) Main Indicators of the Economic Situation in Argentina.

On Zoology

-Translation from Spanish into English for the Exact Sciences Foundation, from the University of Misiones. Benthos as indicators of water quality in Martires brook, receiver of sewage effluents from Posadas city;  preservation and reintroduction of species from Aylacostoma genus (molluscs) in Argentina-Paraguay Yacyreta power dam.
“Potential Sustainable Industrial Uses of Guarani Aquifer System in Misiones Province. Analysis and Diffusion”;

-Documents, diplomas and  folders containing all the syllabuses and courses at University for engineers and pharmacists, from Misiones.

An update on ways of communicating internationally. A fifteen- page translation fom English into Spanish.
Translation of the Supplement for training pilots to fly an Epic LT. A 100-page translation from English into Spanish on aeronautics and avionics.

On Computing

-Translation of manuals for Telsat S.A and El Territorio, the former a cable TV company; the later, a print journalism company. It consisted of translating all the manuals and guides for using the equipment and devices of the company, during the years 1990 to 1996. I also translated software manuals, such as Adobe Pagemaker, and manuals for installing a small satellite antena in Posadas. Manuals instructing engineers and technicians to decode and lock audio and video signals,  and install, and sell them to users.

-Translation of faxes, texts on avionics and classes on EFL for personnel from the Aeronautical Division in the Province, especially workers from the aircraft maintenance area.

On Urology

-Translations for Servicios Privados de Urología (a group of urologists in Posadas, Misiones), Drs. Daniel, Raúl and Alfredo Angeloni. These texts were on urology, urogenital medicine, treatment of kidney and ureteral stones, treatment of prostate gland cancer. They also included writing and translating reports and certificates which were sent to the American Urology Association, in the US.A.
-Consecutive translation for the same people, when a group of Israeli engineers, from Direx Corp. came to Posadas, Misiones, to fix a lithotrite. On that ocasion, the process of fixing the machine,  plus two treatments performed on volunteer patients, and a training course for urologists and other professionals were interpreted. This training course was directed to urologists, anaesthesiologists cardiologists and clinical doctors. This job was done just by myself. It took three days, and interpretation was consecutive, from English to Spanish, and from Spanish to English those questions from the people receiving training in Posadas. I did the job by myself.
For these same people, and as I am a sworn Translator, qualified to translate legal documents, and authorized to do so by the Provincial Supreme Court, I translated several documents and medicinal literature on Urology, which contained procedures, and instructions on surgical treatments, and which were used on a law suit, as a way to justify the treatment employed on a patient.    

On social issues

-Translations for the social area of Yacyretá –Paraguay Power Dam.

On Tobacco production

-Translations and in-company courses on EFL and ESP for Tabacos Norte (Philip Morris), in  Alem, Misiones Province. This consisted of teaching English to professionals in the company, translations on tabacco production, material from the University of Kentucky, USA, writing reports for the company senior members, faxes, the outlook  of the company for the General

Manager. Years 1998 to 1992. I did the job by myself, in Alem, a town in Misiones Province, located about 130 km from Posadas.

On Pulp and paper production and genetics

Bilingual Secretary for the General Manager, at Papel Misionero-a kraft and liner paper producing company,  in Posadas.

-Translations on genetic research for rice grain upgrading, for the Estación de Mejoramiento Varietal de Arroz, Universidad Nacional La Plata.

On urban planning

-Translations for the Under-secretary of Public Works, in Buenos Aires Province. They were on architecture and urban planning.

On steel sheets production

-Translations for Propulsora Siderúrgica. Steel-sheets producer, in La Plata.

As a Teacher:

In Companies:

-Teaching professionals from - Protisa S.A., a company of CMPC, a Chilean company dealing in Forestry and pulp and paper production. It consisted of teaching two groups: one of them was taught EFL; the other ESP. Areas: Forestry and Economics.

-In Tabacos Norte (Philip Morris). I worked as a teacher and as a translator. I taught professionals EFL and ESP. I also translated reports, faxes and other texts for the senior members of the company. I translated the outlook of the company. Tabacos Norte is located in Alem, a town in Misiones Province, Argentina.

As  an interpreter –

At the Silvo Argentina, a series of conferences which took place at the Rural Fair, in Gobernador Virasoro, Corrientes Province, Argentina. On that oportunity I interpreted simultaneously a lecture by Dr. Thomas R. Fox, from Rayonier Corp., USA ,  on “Site-specific Silvicultural Regimes for Slash and  Loblolly Pine at the Atlantic Coastal Prairie, in the USA ".

I interpreted simultaneously for about one hour and a half, and did the work on my own.

These conferences were sponsored by companies such as Papelera del Plata, Dow Chemical, Roundup, Dow Agro Sciences, Arsenal and Blitz. The event took place on 14 to 16 September, 2000.

Consecutive interpretation of a lecture by Dr. Lee Allen, from the United Status, addressed to forestry engineers and technicians, on silvicultural practices for obtaining the best yield in forestry plantations.  The event took place in Timbauva, Corrientes, on 8^th July, 2002.

-Consecutive interpretation of a course by Doctor Pierre Mineau, at INTA Station, in Oro Verde., Entre Ríos Province. Inta is the Argentine Office for Agricultural Technology. The course was offered by Dr. Pierre Mineau, from Ottawa, Canada, and it was on Ecotoxicology, with a stress on birds. It was directed to professionals such as doctors in Medicine, agronomical engineers, veterinarians, ecologists, foresters, and forestry technicians. It lasted one week, in July 2004, and the work was performed by me and another translator from Paraná, Entre Ríos.

Courses

Two courses; one on English for International Communication. Another on Diploma in Translation, from London University, Institute  of Linguists by Professor Alejandro Parini. They were partially offered at Instituto Superior del Traductorado "Lenguas Vivas". Two years of duration.

-Passion fruit, course on Neurolinguistics, in Posadas by Professor Jamie Duncan.

-Dictionaries don’t bite. A Course by representatives from Longman.

-Cultural awareness, at Instituto Montoya on  November 1999, by an Oxford University Press representative.

-First Forums to discuss the linguistic Problems in Misiones Province.  Duration 22 hours, on 6 and 7 October, 2000, in Posadas, by the Association of Teachers and Licenciados in Literature and Spanish Language, and the Ministry of Education of the Province, and addressed to  profesionals of Spanish language.
