Academic Background

Born 1953 in Rodach bei Coburg, Germany.
Changed residence from Germany to Mexico in 1959, Mexican resident since then.
1959 - 1971 Colegio Alemán Alexander v. Humboldt, A.C., Mexico City. German, Spanish and English were mandatory.
1972 - 1976 Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), Study of Metallurgy (then Chemical Metallurgical Engineering), similar to US Material Science Engineering.
1975 Social service at the UNAM: adapting a christallography program from a Control Data compter to run on a Burroughs Series 7000 Mainframe computer at the UNAM. Programming language: Fortarn IV and Assembler.
1978 - 1995 Ham Radio Operator, call sign: xe1huh. Home study of electronics (mandatory to get the amateur licence).
1980 - 1985 Experimenting with hydroponics. Mainly cucumber and tomato plants. Interesting highlite: a 2 lb potato (one single potato weighing 2 pounds).

1976 - 1987 Metalúrgica Nadler, S.A. de C.V. Family business. Manufacturing tungsten carbide welding material and tungsten electrodes for TIG-welding, molybdenum spirals for vacuum metallization. General Manager. Company was sold in 1987. Languages used: German, Spanish and English.
1987 - 1989 Metales Kendall, S.A de C.V. Company of the Mexican "Hickok" group. Responsible of manufacturing and customer service, fantasy jewelry area, products manufactured exclusively for Avon Cosmatics, S.A de C.V. Company moved to Panzacola, Tlaxcala. Languages used: Spanish and English.
1989 - 1992 Fisher Scientific de México, S.A de C.V. a subsidiary of Fisher Scientific, Inc (USA). Logistics Manager. Import and distribution of laboratory supplies. Company closed operations in Mexico. Languages: Spanish and English.
1992 - 1995 Several different activities such as assembling computers, repqiring home electronics, etc.

1999 - now Frellance translator. I changed residence from Mexico City to a town called Cuautla, Morelos.
Since 2005 Restoring antiques in wood (have to make a living).

Tel: 55-45-57-64,one of the most reknown Mexican translation agencies located in Mexico City, as freelance translator. Mainly translating patent requests (into Spanish only) , different kind of certificates, and many technical, chemical and engineering documents mainly from German and/or Enlish into Spanish, some translations from Spanish into German and/or English.

10 years plus in translation experience. No certificates available in Mexico. The "Perito Traductor" certificate is valid only in the Mexican legal system and is mainly for lawyers.
