Summary of professional experience

 

 

I have worked successfully as a lawyer in Germany for more than 20 years. Since 1995 I have also worked as a freelance translator (English to German) in a range of fields, specialising in legal, commercial and technical texts such as contracts, websites etc. I currently do regular freelance work for a number of agencies, including Transperfect Translations (New York City, offices worldwide), Baker & Harrison (Munich), Lennon.de Language Services (Düsseldorf),  MC Translate (Malta), BBi (Glasgow, Scotland) and Machielsen Vertalingen (Groningen, The Netherlands).

Other acitvities

 

I am also a writer of novels, short stories, plays and poems, and several of my short stories have been published in the anthology of a well-known German literature prize ("Würth Literaturpreis").

 

I am also a not so successful but very keen part-time piano and football player.
