WORK EXPERIENCE

From January to April 2005, from January to April 2006 and in June 2006: In-house translator for ESTEL, a quantitative research agency

·    I translated texts dealing with the field of automotive (from Finnish and English to French).  

Since September 2004: Translator and interpreter (Finnish-English-French)

·         I provide liaison interpretation during lunches and dinners, business meetings, trade shows dedicated to new technologies and so on.

·         I translate documents in the fields of economics, culture, tourism, music, new technologies, journalism, medicine (general), literature (non fiction), EU texts.

·         I translate technical texts (automotive, industry)

Since September 2001: Translator on a voluntary basis for the translation website freelang.com and the music website obskure.com

·          I translate short texts (letters, interviews, texts extracted from papers, and so forth) in English, Finnish, French, German and Swedish.

·          I transcript and translate interviews (English-French-English)

·          I translate album reviews (French-English)

·          I proofread documents.

From May 2004 to the end of July 2004 : Secretary at AMEC SPIE Oil & Gas Services in Cergy-Pontoise

·          I took the minutes of meetings.

·          I managed company benefit schemes (organization of language courses and trips for workers' children, reimbursement of sports and cultural activities, arranging of pleasure trips and Christmas parties for workers).

·          I performed basic book-keeping tasks.

·          I typed letters and other correspondence.

·          I arranged business trips (booking of hotels and transportation)

·          I managed e-mails.

·          I keyboarded and laid out documents on word and excel.

From May 2002 to the end of January 2003 : Part-time secretary at Ipedex in Rueil-Malmaison

·          I carried out routine secretarial functions and managed company benefit schemes.

2001 : Masters Dissertation in English

From october 2000 to june 2001, I translated under the guidance of Pr. Olivier Cohen-Steiner about a hundred pages of the non-fiction Australian book entitled Sydney, Portrait of a City and written by Geoffrey Moorhouse.
