FREELANCE TRANSLATION WORK
I have always carried out translation work, whether as part of my employment or freelance. I work from French and Spanish into English in a variety of fields: legal (such as letters, court rulings, power of attorney, contracts, birth/marriage/death certificates, etc.), medical (various), commercial (from correspondence to advertising on products) and general. As well as carrying out work for direct clients, much of which is of a confidential, legal or medical nature, I have translated for various agencies and organisations including Leeds City Council.
My fees currently are £70 per 1,000 words, (£40 minimum).
I am also a freelance interpreter, having previously worked for Bradford Hospitals NHS Trust, and since 2006 providing services for Darlington and Teesside hospitals through Everyday Language Solutions.
