·         Issued the Belgian equivalent of B1 – B2 – F1- F2 and J1 visas to travelers. Interviewed applicants ensuring that all the necessary paperwork and documentation were presented to the Consular department before visas were granted. Conducted extensive immigration law research.

  • Processed all the applications for requests of the equivalent of A1 – A2 – A 3   visas for the Belgian Embassy staff, their dependents and personal staff to the Congolese Immigration office.
  • Filled out and presented all documents to Congolese Customs for release of personal effects of the Belgian Diplomatic staff.
  • Supported the Belgian Armed Forces and the Officers of the Embassy to evacuate successfully 7,500 people within a week requesting and obtaining all the Airspace Authorization from the Congolese Government and ensuring that all the immigration requirements such as verification of citizenship, specific visas to board the planes were met. 
  • Extensive research on a very tight deadline to obtain this consular information was often necessary. Supervised local employees and trained all Administrative Staff.
  • In charge of all travel arrangements and appointments with Diplomatic Corps and Government Officials. Compiled information for the political, consular and economical reports.
  • Organized all the Social Events of the Embassy (Garden Parties for more than 450 people and Dinners at the Residence of the Ambassador).
  • Translated  from Dutch into French all official, diplomatic, business, educational and legal related documents. Maintained a top-secret security clearance and encrypted communications with other Embassies.
