·         Translated, edited, and gained approval on technical manual Microsoft Exchange Documentation from English to Spanish for Deere and Company in three weeks.

·         Served as Wordlink’s only contracted bilingual (Spanish/English) Technical Translator and Corporate Trainer.

·         Led end-user classes in Outlook Messaging and Calendar, MS Exchange and Schedule+, Lotus Notes and Notes Mail, Windows NT Workstation, and Office 97, all with excellent ratings in several major corporate environments such as John Deere, Peabody Holding Company (coal), and ABN AMRO (international financial consultants).

¨        Taught in-curriculum and after-school basic Spanish language programs to children (K-5; 6-8^th grades); covered nouns, verbs, addressing people, basics.

¨        This was a non-profit organization designed to bring foreign language learning into schools that could not afford full-time teachers.

¨        Interpreted for a legal deposition between a bus company and a family.

¨        Delivered Spanish I and II courses to Freshmen and Sophomore university students

¨        Mentored other Graduate Assistants on fine points of grammar (“whys and hows”).

¨        Attended Spanish-speaking Seminar once a week to discuss classes.

§         Successes:  Helped one student go from a D- to a B+ in Spanish I by year-end.   Two other advanced students of mine also won scholarships to study for a summer in Mexico.

§         Was the only student selected for this post, based on Major grades.

§         Performed same service as in the Learning Center; however, I would directly tutor students 1 day a week for 45 minutes, within Dr. Hara’s 1.5 hour Spanish I class.

§         Led Spanish Lunch Table, where students could casually practice their Spanish-speaking skills with their peers and an instructor in the cafeteria during lunch time.
