Business objective: Provision of high quality interpreting and translation services-written translations, and consecutive and simultaneous interpreting – from/into the Bulgarian into/from the English language in an array of areas, with highest specialization in medicine, health care and public health, and natural sciences. 1994 – 2010 CINDI (Countrywide Integrated Noncommunicable Diseases Intervention Program) officer in the Health Promotion and Integrated Disease Prevention Section of the National Center of Public Health Protection (NCPHP). Scope of responsibilities relates to health promotion and disease prevention policy and intervention development, studying foreign experience and its implementation in Bulgaria, international collaboration, development, translation and adaptation of HP and DP guidelines and other materials, etc.

 

Additionally, more than 20-year experience in freelance written, consecutive and simultaneous translations for various governmental and non-governmental agencies in Bulgaria, at conferences, seminars, workshops, training sessions, etc, including: the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Social Affairs, Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Interior, Privatization Agency, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance, Bulgarian National Bank, etc., US Embassy in Bulgaria, the British Council, PHARE Project, WHO, TAEX, etc. Since 1993 employed full time in the National Center of Public Health in Sofia/CINDI Programme with 60 % of duties related to translation from/into the Bulgarian language into/from the English language in the area of public health/health promotion, disease prevention and health care. Extensive translation experience in the area of medicine. Greatest expertise in translation of documentation for authorization of drugs – SPC, leaflets, PSUR, Expert Reports, etc. – clinical trial documentation, etc.
