Personal InformationI am an EU-project consultant specialised in eLearning and the development of multilingual portals. I began my career as a project manager in a large EU project with 17 full partners. Among other things, I was production manager and later partly producer of interactive TV broadcasts for English for Banking/ Telecommunications/Business with live interaction across Europe. I also presented this project and others at conferences and workshops. Due to my bilingual background (German/French) and 4 years of teaching experience (adults, private language school), I began to be involved in the localisation of multimedia for language learning at the same time.
I became self-employed in 1995 and have been working in similar research & development projects within the same funding programmes for altogether 13 years. Translation, editing, researching and writing articles have been part of my daily work since then.
Examples of work- Translation and ongoing info maintenance of a tourism website (SE-DE; SE-EN)
- Translated published country report for EU project (EN-DE) on how ICT changes education and training in Germany (pdf version 70 pages)
- Many hundreds of pages/screens of educational material for training of trainers, tutor training, educational psychology (DE-EN, EN-DE, FR-EN, EN-FR, etc.)
- Began translating yearly psychology calendar in 1999 (DE-EN)
- Conference report, German version (paperback) 216 pages, on regional learning networks and labour market policy (translated EN/FR-DE, partly corrected EN & FR.
