Other Information

I lived in Brazil from 1953 to 1964, and attended a local British school. I then spent one year in Finland prior to attending high school in Sweden. I did my military service in Finland between October 1968 and September 1969. I then attended the University of Geneva, where I studied economics and history prior to entering the Lic. ès Sc. Po. (HEI) program and obtaining my degree.

I am proficient in various languages thanks to having lived and studied in the countries where they are spoken; in addition to the languages mentioned previously I am somewhat fluent in Italian and have a smattering of German also.

I have travelled extensively in Latin America, the United States, Europe and Scandinavia, and have been living in São Paulo since the beginning of 1977.
