Hobbies/private
I enjoy travelling in Norway and abroad, on business as well as for pleasure. Appreciate nature in good weather and bad; yachting enthusiast currently between sailing yachts, but should be back on own keel soon. Qualified PADI Rescue Diver. Also avid car enthusiast, and a CAR Magazine and Auto Motor und Sport subscriber of 20 years' standing.
Other interests include the English and Norwegian languages, and their use in technical literature as well as in general. My biggest hobby is my work, however. Have connected notebook to Wi-Fi in order to work in many a shaded place, from Cairns to Reykjavik, from Kauai to the North Cape.
I can generally be reached on a 24/365 basis. My idea of a vacation is to bring my office to a place where the weather is good and the luxuries of life are abundant. The PC always comes along; in fact, all my PC’s are portable.
Have bicycle; use it too infrequently. Read 4 newspapers each day to keep abreast of politics (light blue, green shades) and society in general.
I gave up smoking in 1998, after 25 years, and have picked up the game of squash again after a pause of 10 years. My favourite winter sport is alpine skiing. Am working off my slight overweight, and am generally considered to be even-tempered but somewhat impatient.
