  •  "Forced Migration Review" is published by the Refugee Studies Centre at Oxford University and focuses on issues related to refugees and internally-displaced persons (IDPs). The Journal is published in English, Arabic and Spanish and French.
  •  Responsibilities include deciding, with other editors, on themes and articles; organising call for papers and relevant publicity; editing articles received in Arabic, raising awareness of themes and issues, monitoring and organising subscription and distribution, fund-raising, as well as managing the necessary translation work of articles for the Arabic and French editions of the journal and proofreading, editing and proofing of the Arabic edition

  • The Company worked as an intermediary between Syrian national companies and foreign companies bidding for work in Syria. Daily duties involved translating all correspondence, technical brochures, contracts, invoices and any other documents that needed passing from one party to another.
  • Duties also included the management of the daily schedule of the company’s general manager as well as accompanying him to his meetings where I acted as an interpreter for foreign businessmen attending.
