Graduating with a bilingual degree from the Université d'Ottawa in 1989, I pursued graduate courses in Philosophy until 1993 on an Ontario Graduate Scholarship, which included a university assistantship. Since that time, I have worked in many different positions, always in French and English, teaching telephone technology and job training skills, designing large scale call processing systems, teaching French as a supply teacher in the public school system, working in public relations in the nuclear research field, collecting data for the Consumer Price index, conducting field audits in the automotive industry as well as working in consulting conducting research and designing large scale market surveys, among others. I am also an artist and mother of two (almost grown) children.
I have been working out of a home office for the last 7 years, running all aspects of large scale web-based seminars in social marketing for NGOs and special interest groups, as well as providing freelance translation and editing services full-time for the last two years.

A sampling of recent documents I have translated includes: A Study in Urban Geography for the University of Montreal, documents for the Department of National Defence, The Congo Labour Code, Mining Code and Investment Code, 100,000 words for The Global Fund African Project, tender documents for a hyperbaric chamber for a French hospital, market research for a large cosmetic firm, legal contracts, clinical trials, as well as numerous contracts and proposal documents in information technology and telecommunications systems, among others.
I have also done numerous pro bono translations for Translators Without Borders, work which I enjoy immensely.
A generalist, I have a background in many fields and am known for my ability to provide consistent, fast and high quality translation and editing.
