To translate from source language to targeted language without losing the essence and meaning of the text, and to perform the task in the most efficient and economical manner possible.  To meet clients’ deadlines and going beyond their expectations.  To be as accurate in translations as possible – to be understood in both languages.       
               
        Experience
Certificated Translator    JULY 1997 - present
Worked at the High Court In Sabah & Sarawak as a certified Government Interpreter (Kota Kinabalu,Malaysia) for about 15 years.  Performed general/local language  translation during a Trial in Open Court or in Judge Chambers, translations of lawyers documents and Courts documents, newspaper / magazine articles and editorials, student’s certificate’ or exam papers result for use in their application for overseas University application, marriage certificates for spouses who intended to further studies in overseas or general use,   booklets and pamphlets and other publicity materials for the general public, public announcements, signboards, government gazettes, transcripts, other legal documents, press releases and many others.
Mobile Court Interpreter    JUNE 2007 - present
Presently in the pool of Mobile Court Interpreter at High Court (Kota Kinabalu).  Performing general interpretations from Local Dialects to Malay and English to Malay and vice versa for the presiding Magistrate during Court sittings and debates.  Also called on to perform interpretations during family counseling sessions at the Local Church after Sundays Mass.
Freelance / contract translator    present
I have experience in doing online/web research on the Internet.  I do translations of pamphlets (medical, safety, general) for public consumption.  I am also involved in the translations of Church Books to Malay for local Village people.  I am also responsible for many other ad hoc projects from various organizations and companies both locally, via Internet and others.
