Experience I am a Lithuanian translator/editor. I have participated in localization of Microsoft Office XP, Microsoft Windows XP (it included work with Microsoft International Language Service and creation of new Lithuanian terminology in this particularly rapidly advancing field), Hewlett Packard Customs Information System for Customs Department under the Finance Ministry of the Republic of Lithuania, Hewlett Packard Lithuanian site and hardware products, IBM AS/400 server, STAAD manuals, Motorola, Epson, Sony Ericsson, Ericsson, Nokia, Kyocera, Fuji Siemens Computers, and Epson products. Moreover, I am a Language Quality Specialist for Microsoft International Language Service (subcontracted by Berlitz GlobalNET). Rates Proofreading and proofreading rates depend on a project. Trados memory recyclability and volume discounts apply. Tools and Skills I have broadband (T1) Internet connection. Computer configuration: AMD Athlon XP 2200+, RAM 512 MB, HDD 80 GB, Windows XP Professional, Windows 2000 Professional, Office XP, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe FrameMaker, Norton Antivirus, etc. I can work with the following CAT tools: Trados, Microsoft Localization Studio, DejaVu, IBM Translation Manager, SDLX, Ericsson TrTool. Availability and Capacity Availability depends on a specific timing of project but usually there is sufficient flexibility concerning availability and capacity even for large projects. My daily capacity is about 3000 words/12 pages depending on the text. Team Work Also, I can lead a team of translators and editors I have worked with on Microsoft localisation and similar projects. As a result, we have developed common style of translation. Thus, we are able to take large projects and provide best quality of translation.
