The team at Lionbridge with solution centres in 25 countries worldwide is recruiting part-time self-employed workers who are fluent speakers in Italian and English who are based in Vatican City or close proximity to join their Online Mapping Research team.
Requirements:
Proficiency in English is essential
Fluency in Italian is essential
We are seeking people who have access to the internet and who are confident in using the internet
Excellent knowledge of the geographical area of Vatican City
Experience/know-how of using online maps and generating driving directions
For cultural, historical and geographical awareness purposes candidates must be resident in Rome for the last year
The goal of this project is to evaluate and improve online mapping software. Candidates will need to determine and rate the effectiveness of the mapping products and provide qualified feedback on the user experience
The work will involve:
- Using online maps to investigate geographic accuracy of Vatican City queries
- Grading the accuracy of online Vatican City map results and locations
- Determining if City, Province and Country results are geographically accurate for Vatican City
This project is initially expected to run for up to 3 months and requires 2-4 hours per week. An immediate start is required and full training materials will be provided.
