Work Experience: Freelance Translator 2006 – present I started in January as a freelance translator. Since that early 2006 I have worked for various translation agencies. Below is a list of translation agency with whom I cooperate at present with regular translation (or proofread) projects. Throughout the year I have of course also done translation work for other translation agencies (or individuals) but these are not mentioned because either it was a one-time only translation or I translated only a few times for them.
Weirfire Web Designers A Northern Irish translation agency. April 2007 - present I started working for them since April 2007 and translated several large projects like websites but also smaller ones like brochures and advertisements.
Lyric Labs A translation agency based in India. April 2007 – present. They contacted me in April 2007. The translations projects mainly involve software but sometimes also small other projects. I have translated up to 120.000 words for them until now. Projects
Nettprofile Ltd a translation agency based in London. They contacted me in May 2007, thus very recently. I did a test translation and several small projects for them.
Bright Translation Service A translation agency based in China. I started working for them at the end of March 2007. I did one project for them of 12.000 words. Good Enterprise SZ, Ltd A translation agency based in China October 2006 - present Main translation projects: manuals for household appliances, medical appliances and automotive texts. Word range: from a couple of sentences to about 30.000 words. I work almost every day for them. Euro-Logos/Max-Logos A translation agency based in the Ukraine. June 2006 – present Main translation projects: manuals for medical appliances, software and menu translations for mobile phones and the accompanying manuals. Word range: from a couple of sentences to about 9000 words. Arabic Locatrans A translation agency based in Egypt. June 2006 - present Main translation projects: manuals for medical appliance, household appliances and personal devices Word range: from a couple of sentences to about 8000 words. Applied Language Solutions A translation agency based in the UK. They contacted me in November 2006. I have done several small translations for them. BabelGroup A translation agency based in Bosnia Herzegovina. September 2007 - present I contacted them in September 2007 and have so far translated a 25.000 words for BabelGroup. Wazer Solutions A translation agency based in India They contacted me in June 2007. Since then I have translated on a regular base small projects for them ranging from a couple of sentences to 1000 words. Translation Tools When I translate I use the following software tools:
Language teacher 2001 -2004 I taught for two years the Dutch language to Japanese people at Dai Ichi Seed but also to private Japanese individuals. I also taught the English language to Dutch at the private level
