Béatrice Frédérique Öman

I am an EU-project consultant specialised in eLearning and the development of multilingual portals. I began my career as a project manager in a large EU project with 17 full partners. Among other things, I was production manager and later partly producer of interactive TV broadcasts for English for Banking/ Telecommunications/Business with live interaction across Europe. I also presented this project and others at conferences and workshops. Due to my bilingual background (German/French) and 4 years of teaching experience (adults, private language school), I began to be involved in the localisation of multimedia for language learning at the same time.
I became self-employed in 1995 and have been working in similar research & development projects within the same funding programmes for altogether 13 years. Translation, editing, researching and writing articles have been part of my daily work since then.
