1 DAY PROFESSIONAL TRAINING FOR TRANSLATORS
FOR THE 1ST TIME IN AZERBAIJAN



Dear translators, interpreters and those who are interested in this profession,

- What is the translation profession?  
- What is the level of demands and offers for this profession in Azerbaijan and in the whole world?
- How to develop the translation skills?  
- How to get the permenant customers?

If you want to find answers to such kind of questions and increase your knowledge in this field, we’d like to invite you to the training for translators by Kamil Piriyev, the freelance professional translator with 11 years’ experience.  

The programme includes:

  •      Art of translation and its types;
  •      Necessary qualities to work as a simultaneous interpreter and the position of an interpreter in the market;
  •      Rights and obligations of translators and their place in legislature;
  •      Role of CAT-tools;
  •      Cooperation with translation agencies;  
  •      How to get the potential customer;
  •      How to communicate with the real and virtual customers and how to determine prices depending on the country;
  •      How to affect the customer;
  •      How to get the confidence of the customer;
  •      Stress management during the work;
  •      Right division and management of time.


During the training, our guest will share his experience with you, discuss the issues those are interesting for you, and answer your questions. Elnur Rustamov, the head psychologist of PCC center, will analyze the psychological state of a translator, deliver his psychological approaches to the translators’ problems and make his offers in making a successful career.

The training will begin at 14:00 on February 21, 2010. It will last for 3 hours. Coffee break is included.
The language of the training is Azerbaijani. The training is paid. Price is 25 AZN, but for students – 20 AZN.

Kamil Piriyev got the bachelor degree from the Department of the French Language at the Azerbaijan University of Languages in 2000, and the master degree from the Department of Journalism and Communication at the Robert Schuman University, in Strasburg, France in 2000-2002. During different periods of time, he worked as an assistant of the director in the Centre of Culture of France, the Press Secretary for the ambassador of France in Azerbaijan, the founder and the director of Club des Amis de la France in Baku, the Secretary General of the Community of Students studying in France (ASEAF), and an independent reporter for different local and foreign news agencies. Now he is a founder and a director of the Multi-Service Agency. From 1999 up to now he's cooperating with UNO, Council of Europe, European Union, Comission of Europe, different ministries of the Azerbaijan Republic, etc. as a freelance translator and interpreter.
