Just to say, the moderators had a little chat about opening a specific forum on sales and marketing as you suggested in the "matter of price" thread, but we decided that this forum "working as a freelancer" covers that topic quite well. If we have too many forums some may be neglected  However, as you see we're working on getting more discussion going on the marketing/sales issue.

Also, create the impression of a crowd at your door, either to drive up the demand for your products or reduce the rates you are willing to pay, depending on which end of the equation you are, e.g.:

WARSAW (Reuters) - When Apple Inc (AAPL.O) rolled out its iPhone in the United States, some fans paid big money to be among the first to get their hands on the device. In Poland, people are getting paid to line up.

"We have these fake queues at front of 20 stores around the country to drum up interest in the iPhone," a spokesman said.
