Framemaker Romanian font issues
Hi everyone! First of all, this is my first post here so I would like to thank you for all the help you have given me in the past. This time unfortunately I didn't find solution from this forum. I'm converting eng-ro to Framemaker and this is a new language pair for my translation agency. Like usually, this also means lots of new problems concerning fonts and font mapping. This spesific problem is about T with comma below. Trados Font mapper actually finds the correct letter, but the problem is about spacing. As you can see below, there actually isn't any spacing.
Right now I have solved this issue by just putting spread +30% to that character. Probably not the most stylish way, but it works. Anyway, I was quite satisfied with this workaround even though it meant a little bit more work. Until I checked from project manager that obviously our customer was quite happy with our work and ordered loads of more similar translations. So, my hunch is that there might be even Times New Roman font which would support perfectly Romanian language. Right now I'm using Times New Roman CE so that might be out of question. But I appreciate all possible solutions or information concerning this problem. So please rescue my summer and tell me how I can avoid days of misery of spreading that nasty little T over and over again!
