Maybe the bird you saw was not a crow but a raven?

I wanted to find a crow for you, and instead I found an incredible story about crow intelligence:

Enjoy!

Maxi

Thank you, Max. I think they are amazing and look totally unreal.

It could have been, Dodo, but it also looked extremely intelligent and mystical. It was a big bird with absolutely black feet and a big black beak, almost navy blue in shade.

I think they talk sometimes, like in Dickens story; I should have had a conversation with him.

A raven, certainly.

Like Poe?

"Be that word our sign of parting, bird or fiend!" I shrieked, upstarting -

"Get thee back into the tempest and the Night`s Plutonian shore!

Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!

Leave my loneliness unbroken! - quit the bust above my door!

Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!"

                                                          Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."

The one I met looked very nice, though.
