Ryanair use Prestwick which is, how shall I put it, as near to Glasgow as Ryanair are to offering free inflight foot massages. There is a train from there to Glasgow city centre and, if I remember correctly, it is free for all those who keep their boarding passes. It takes arounf 45minutes to an hour.
I would imagine that even with Easyjet, staying over the weekend or at least overnight would be easier. There is a wide range of hotels and B&Bs in and around Glasgow, from the Hilton to little places. So, I will leave it up to those who want to come.

Also - for more budget airline choice - note that one can easily fly to Edinburgh (Easyjet, Germanwings, AerLingus...) and get the bus through to Glasgow: if you have a small weekend bag, toddle down the road from the airport and catch a Citylink or Motorvator(?) coach (you need to walk along to the left or to the right to get to a stop for the coach - they don't stop at the stop by the airport junction).

Sad to say, the Motorvator service ended about two years ago, while I was still a uni student in Edinburgh, doing the commute every day. Citylink still do the route but the fairs are around £8 return nowadays.
The meetup never did take place. Anyone fancy suggesting a better date since the flights will be cheaper now anyway?

I would really love to come to Glasgow, but family affairs keep me in Spain resp. Germany. If the new date is anywhere near end of October (I would LOVE to see snow!! - no, I am d*** serious!) I'll be there

However, If you want to see snow... In all my childhood I only remember seeing a good snow once in the city, and that was in the month of February. Maybe global warming has changed that.
