payment guarantee
I'm Paola from Italy and I am beginning these days to search job via the internet but I was wondering: how can I assure any kind of guarantee about the payment?

how do you usually behave to be assured they will actually pay your work?

do you ask a down payment? a cash advance? and if yes, when: just after you received the translation, with half work already done or with the entire translation still to be done?

I thank you all,

kindly,

Paola

RE: payment guarantee

thank you Dragomir. I wrote my question in a bad way, I meant that even in Italy I don't know what kind of proposal to do in order to be sure I will receive the payment! anyhow, another collegue made me think that even the client cannot be sure I will hand him the translation and that the translation will be well done. So... we can just hope

It would be great if you could tell me how you started with this job!

Do you rely on web sites and agencies?

have a nice day, Paola
