Oh well, some day possibly their system will notice that I am never responding and delete me for being inactive. At least I hope so. For now the spam filter is putting their annoying email in the junk folder. David

I'm not sure if this is for another topic, but the same thing is happening to me with www.trans-quotation.com Few days ago, there was a project that perfectly matched my skills, the job poster has offered his price (so the price should not be an issue), and I was hoping (at least) to receive some feedback. I have payed an annual membership of approx. 90-100 EUR, but - sorry, no more! Sorry if this was off-topic ![]()

TQ has a bad reputation among translators, as they simply copied and pasted jobs posted on other sites into their own system. So imho, it's another online ghost. Laurent K.

Have all of you noticed that most of the projects posted on translatorsbase anymore are crap like marriage and birth certificates? Hardly anything that makes the membership fee worthwhile...And a lot of the private posters flake out on their book projects (mostly whatt I do) when they realize any professional translator expects a fair fee I have a membership with the site again this year, but have not been awarded a single project. I get the impression that this year other translators who are members place bids which are substantially lower than mine. I can't complain about last year, though. I was awarded several projects from the site and have actually established an ongoing relationship with one agency because of it. Best case scenario might be that one could always use the membership fee as a business expense tax deduction, at least here in the US you can.
