Ratings shown in job postings
I've considered this a few times and I was wondering what my colleagues think of it. Perhaps it would make sense to show the rating of a job poster, if available, right in the job window, say, under their name. For example, today I received a job notification (http://www.translatorscafe.com/cafe/SelectedJob.asp?Job=42746) and after a short research I refrained from quoting since the job poster enjoys a very low rating both here and on other portalZ. Sometimes, seeing a rating immeditately may save us time and be a guideline for beginners should the poster be rated negatively, while positively rated outsources can only benefit from this.
Option Votes
Yes, the rating must be shown
It might or might not be shown
I don't think the rating needs to be shown
Other (provide details)

RE: Ratings shown in job postings

I've chosen the second option because if the rating isn't shown, I'll try to find it before offering my services. It's true that it'll take longer to find.

Marisa

I've refrained from voting. Here, as elzewhere, you must purchase specific membership privileges if you want to be fully informed.

As well, what you see is not necessarily what you get, so it pays to be informed and to check carefully. Buyer beware.

Thanks Marisa and Nanna for your input.

Nanna, access to full information, i.e. to the HFS, is certainly restricted for non-paying members, however the rating itself is visible to everyone in the form of stars. If, for instance, I see that an outsourcer who is unknown to me has only one star in the rating, I will think twice before even sending a quote.

RE: Ratings shown in job postings

Hi Ara, Marisa, Nanna, Jonathan and Katharina,

Thank you for the suggestion. It is now implemented for Master members. Non-paying members will still have to click two times to view the stars.

Anatoly
