EDUCATION:

1979: High School Diploma in Classical Studies and Humanities – Liceo Classico “Francesco Petrarca” in Cortona (Italy).

1983: Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English – Hendon College of Further Education (London,UK).

1986: BA in Translation – Scuola Superiore per Traduttori ed Interpreti  - University of Perugia (Italy).

1992: Stage in Russian language, literature and culture at the Puskin Institute in Moscow.

I have worked since 1986 as a freelance translator/proofreader.

·         Translation of the scientific article “Beyond Substantial Equivalence”, by Erik Millstone, Eric Brunner, Sue Mayer (‘Nature’, October 1999). The translated text is published on the following web site: www.Peacelink.it, in the dossier on genetically modified organisms, link 2.

·         Translation of the scientific article “Conventional Plant Breeding”, by Michael Hansen (also published in the above mentioned web site, link 1 bis).

·         Translation of: “ The role of Unbalancing in Judo Class ”, by Wilfred Visser, “ Gripping Strategies ”, by George Weers, and other essays on Judo.

·         Translation of texts and documentation on occupational health and  safety, and other work-related issues for the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (an organization at UE level).
