Professional translator for 20 years now.

Currently Employeed:  professional translator (English - Croatian / Croatian - English, Croatian) – 1993 - BH MAC

Former Employments: Ministry of Defense Federation BH - professional translator

Joint Staff FA – Liaison Officer / Translator (English to Croatian - Croatian to English)

Education:

High School for translators with a degree in professional translating skills in English. Continued 4 years education at University of Sarajevo, Department of English Language and Literature.

My current job (mine/explosive ordnance clearance) makes it my specialty, i.e. creation and translation of standards, standard operational procedures (translations, proofreading and editing for foreign companies working in my country) – all explosive and mine clearance related documentation, project procedures and SOP’s, with regular three years based changes in accordance to Geneva issued IMAS collection of newly written SOP's or their annexes.

Various fields of previous and current work and interests:

newspaper's articles (SEO writing, re-writing), writing original short novels, translating fiction, compiling and converting e-books from various formats into Word,  proofreading, editing and sub-titling). 

My final wish is to end up translating fiction, which is what I do for a hobby.

Used to work under stressful conditions, where deadlines do not affect quality of my work. I am very eager to acquire new areas of translation and new terminologies accordingly. 

I am available most of the time, while working and after working hours – no weekends, - but subject to negotiation. 

Said rates apply on jobs done in regular time scope. Urgent translations up 10%.
