I translate from English into Chinese, which is my native language, and Chinese to English, as well as from German into Chinese. My scientific background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Microbiology, with two years completed toward a Ph.D. in Physiology and Pharmacology. I have also worked as an editor and engineer in the areas of immunology and preventive medicine, with further rigorous on-the-job experience in my other academic fields of training . Moreover, I am a qualified member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (UK).
I have done scientific and technical translation work for the past ten years, including six years working with various pharmaceutical companies, legal firms and specialized translation agencies as a translator, and four years as the translator and the consultant for a large network technology company where I was mainly engaged in the fields of pharmaceuticals and chemicals. I enjoy language learning and using my scientific knowledge and experience in conjunction with my translating, interpreting and proofreading skills. In addition to English, I have studied German and have done technical translations from German into Chinese. Beyond that, I also have done translations in the fields of law, business, and notarization.
At the current time, I am dedicated to serving professionals all over the world with translation and consultation services as a technical freelancer. I offer translations of a high degree of accuracy at very reasonable rates, consistently meet all deadlines, and never compromise on quality.
My rates depend on the complexity of the text, areas of specialization, volume, deadline and other considerations such as electronic formats, exact/fuzzy matches, etc. I typically charge 0.05 - 0.10 EURO per source word.
