I have taught a Certificate Course in Translation Proficiency at my University for the last two years. I was also instrumental in framing the syllabi for the Course. From this year, 2006-2007, our University would be launching a Diploma in Translation and I would be teaching there as well. The focus of the course is bidirectional English<>Hindi. This is not a mere literary translation course but is designed towards the industry.
I was also interviewed by an American academic for a reputed American translation industry magazine, Multilingual Translating and Computing on my experience of translating airline menus. This was published in the December 2005 issue.

Cuisine: Airline Menus for three major international airlines for over four years from English to Hindi.
Journalism: Translation from Hindi press to English. Over 150,000 words of news reports from Hindi to English. Translation from Gujarati press into English for three years.
Medical: Documents dealing with breastfeeding, Osteoporosis, Parkinson’s disease, malaria, prostrate gland cancer, blood glucose, clinical trials of drugs, on paedriatric symptoms, HIV and sexual health, safe use of antibiotics with NHS and other end clients. English to Gujarati and English to Hindi.
