Albert Stufkens

After having attended Teacher's College in Utrecht (Netherlands) I emigrated to Australia in 1961. There I worked for General Motors for 14 years in the Production and Finance Departments. In the meantime, I completed a 4 years' Personnel Administration course.
In 1975 I returned to The Netherlands. While combining jobs in finance (controlling) with studies I completed an English language course graduating for High School teachership in 1979 where the art of translation was emphasized. Since then I have done translation jobs on a professional and freelance basis - now for 30 years. This practice has given me extremely broad experience on the translation scene. Since 1979 I have been a sworn translator to the Rotterdam District Court. Due to new government regulations two years ago I am now on the short list of preferred translators for the Netherlands Public Prosecutor's Office. Within this framework I have recently completed a course in International Law at a university.
