Freelance Interpreter and Translator

I provide translation, interpreting and proofreading services between English and German.

I have interpreted at Crown, Family and Magistrates’ courts, for the police, in prison, in job centres, at business meetings and at private appointments. I have translated various legal/commercial and technical documents, letters, manuals, certificates and forms both from German to English and English to German.

I have edited/proofread a number of business plans, contracts and questionnaires.

I worked for a major credit card company efficiently engaging with clients/merchants in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the UK using the telephone as a contact tool. I dealt with various queries, orders and complaints, sold additional value and services.

I constantly swapped between German and English, translated call scripts and applied knowledge of the different cultures and economies and of financial terminology.
