1990-1991              I have attended a course on “Computer Science” (MS-DOS and Basic languages) at the “Scuola Serale Popolare” in Crema, at the end of which I have got  the “Certificate of attendance”.

1996                       I have attended a one-day Seminar training in “INTERNET”, organized by A.I.T.I. (Italian Association for Translators and Interpreters - Section of Lombardy.

WORK EXPERIENCE

1989                       I travelled abroad, to Denmark and Holland, on a one-week journey, for a job as interpreter into English.

1991-1998              I have worked as employee in the Commercial Dept. of a firm manufacturing glazing and painting systems with electric and hydraulic Robot for the field of industrial glazing and painting processes.

1998-2002              I have worked as employee in the Commercial Dept. of a firm manufacturing general disposable machines.

Besides dealing with foreign correspondence for both firms, I have made TECHNICAL TRANSLATIONS, from and into English, French and German of the following texts:

ð      Technical documents with description of the different units composing the systems (Electric and Hydraulic Robots, glazing and painting booths, conveyors, devices for rotation, spraying equipments, etc.) of the auxiliary devices (mass flow metering system for the product sprayed, camera for recognition of the pieces to be treated, etc.) and of how these machines operate. These documents were an integral part of  the offers for the foreign markets.

ð      Instructions Manuals on use and maintenance of the systems and of the additional equipments, concerning their electronic and electric parts and their mechanical components.

ð      Software messages.

ð      Specifications of the systems operation.

ð      Instructions manuals on use and maintenance of Robots in compliance with EU Directives on  Machines Safety; EC Declaration of Conformity.

Since 1997            I have been working as a free-lance translator for a Patent Office of Milan, translating European Patents from English, German and French into Italian.

Since 2002            I have got my V.A.T. number and I have been working as a freelance translator in my office (“Studio Pegaso – Traduzioni e Interpretariato”), both for direct customers and translation agencies.
