RE: Do you need privacy?

I understood the LT translation via GT and to show you that I understood it, I alluded to the fact that the Danes often think that Denmark is the navel of the world, i.e., the butter-hole in the middle, which literally means the hole in the middle of the rice porridge where you put a dab of sweet butter (smør)

What GT did with the translation ---- I still have tears in my eyes from laughing and it only goes to show you that localization is a fine art...

Nanna, still laughing

Um... I GTd the LT into Danish, and then I GTd the result into English, and this is what I got:

Everyone knows that he is the world's navel, but often forgotten that the right of everyone to the navel

Funny, kinda, but not overly so...

Dodo,

I am laughing because the three Danish words when translated via GT came out completely wrong and thus very rude, which was not in any way intended. i think my English is clear, but in case it's not, I am sorry, for I don't have any more time to explain a simple joke.

Don`t we all? Think we are the hub of everything, I mean?

 in a scholarly translation

I do not like scholars very much... Because they tend to make simple things tangled and vice versa. And because they use at least ten words where just one word would suffice. And of course because their scholarly native is even more clumsy than my translations into my C or D or ... ...

Back to privacy, though.

Yes, and I enjoy it, full extent. 40 votes - [85.11%]

I`d say 85.11% optimists is good.

Or scary?
