Super exclusive afternoon tea club event @ TOKYO PENINSULA HOTEL

Super-Exclusive
TOKYO PENINSULA AFTERNOON TEA CLUB
I am very pleased and proud to say I've negotiated hard to host my afternoon tea club at Tokyo's newest and most glamourous hotel, the PENINSULA TOKYO, and finally I have succeeded! This is not just for translators but for anyone who would enjoy a relaxing Sunday afternoon and who appreciates tea, scones and afternoon tea culture.
Have a look at the hotel site:
http://tokyo.peninsula.com/ (English)
http://tokyo.jp.peninsula.com/ptk_ja/index.shtml (Japanese)
And for the venue, check out the pictures!!!
EG: http://tokyo.peninsula.com/ptk/photos_restaurants_03.html
Giorgio Armani has just enjoyed staying there, this is really the "place to be" at the moment in Tokyo.
The tea details are still being worked out but this is really something very special - when you see the people queuing every day for hours in the lobby to have afternoon tea, I am sure you can understand. Because it's a special event, I am asking guests to please make an effort to dress smartly this time, no jeans or shorts, smart casual or elegant is fine. The hotel initially said it wasn't possible but they made a very special exception for me because I persuaded them to let us have this opportunity.
Details:
Sunday 2 December
Time: 3pm-5pm (15:00-17:00)
Venue: 'PETER' restaurant on 24th floor
http://tokyo.peninsula.com/ptk/restaurants_03.html (English) http://tokyo.jp.peninsula.com/ptk_ja/restaurants_03.html (Japanese)
For more details on my club, see FAQ here:
http://www.teamuseum.co.jp/teaclub.html
Also pictures from a previous event:

With private elevators from the lobby and unobstructed views of Tokyo, Peter offers European cuisine set in a ultra-modern setting. Adjacent to the main dining area, the lounge bar provides the perfect place to enjoy pre-dinner cocktails or an after dinner cigar. A variety of unique private dining areas are available.
Menu and cost:
5000 yen per person, menu details being negotiated now.
Please let me know if you'd be free at this date and time and I will send more details as soon as possible.

Email RSVP to britishculture@gmail.com
I am meeting the hotel head of food and beverage shortly to finalize the plan.
Thanks!
Rich

tags: Cheap Palm Springs Hotel Best Reviewed Las Vegas Hotel Wow - that is a beautiful hotel!  I'm several years too late for your afternoon tea but would love to know if you have something similar planned in the future?  Hopefully it was so successful it's an annual event now.....

If not there, maybe something in a Downtown Las Vegas Hotel or a Las Vegas Casino Hotel - think there is an exclusive and authentic afternoon tea at the Bellagio.

Hi, Eugene and Sarita,

I see that you may be both located in CA which means that for you going to tea to a Tokyo hotel is, indeed, just a leap through the Pacific. But if you, or any other translators, were also interested in other translation events, you can find a very incomplete and imperfect list here: RE: Translation Conferences . Those are sometimes good social opportunities too!

Welcome to this translators' website!

Hi JK,  Wondered if there is a current list of conferences.  I agree that they are wonderful social opportunities (was well as education) and would like to know what is upcoming in my area.  Thanks in advance, JC
