In Polish, it's up to the creativity of the speaker. For example, the two forms Liliana came up with above -- sondażeczek and sondażuszek -- are her free creations which have probably never existed (yet) outside this thread, but if only you respect phonetic and morphological rules, you are free to create things ad hoc like that in Polish.

We have much less flexibility in French.
The only possible suffix I could think of for sondage was '-ounet', so I googled "sondageounet" and actually found a few hits which confirmed my gut feeling (although the word is not widespread, it will be readily understood by French speakers).
