I am a freelance linguist who takes on most types of English to Norwegian assignments for translation and editing. I try to be a general translator, but my main areas of expertise are medical, business, advertising, legal, financial, popular and technical translations.

My best assets as a linguist are a long history of interest in reading and writing, determination to get the job done well and on time and a can do-attitude. I also use excellent hardware to lessen the strain of working, and deliver a better product. 

I've worked as an English-Norwegian freelance translator since 2007. From 2009 to 2010 I worked for Google for a year first as a reviewer, and then as Lead reviewer for Google's Norway products.

Degrees and certifications: 

2011: Passed the Norwegian Sworn translator home exams.

2009: Certified PRO translator at Proz

2007: CPE from Cambridge University

2002-2005: BA from the University of Oslo: English minor, sociology major

My rates are 0.11-0.14 euros per source word for translation from English to Norwegian, and 32 euros per 1000 words for proofreading. I may decide take assignments that are especially easy or interesting for less than that, or take payment by the hour for translation assignments.
