Katarzyna Korostynska

I am a specialist in linguistics with thorough knowledge of English and Polish. I have completed:

MA Public Administration at the University of Nottingham;
MA Translation Studies at the Lodz Academy of International Studies;
MA International Relations at the Lodz Academy of International Studies; 
BA English Philology at the University of Szczecin.

To complement my academic experience, I have attained numerous transferable translation skills through employment, most recently as a Target Language Expert with Avant Assessment, the world leader in the design, development and delivery of Web-based foreign and second language assessments.

I offer a full range of language services for people and organizations around the world. I have been granted membership of GlobTra.com, ProZ.com, and TranslatorsCafe.com. I have made my contribution to the development of iLearnWords, an online language course, and WikIdioms, a multilingual dictionary of idioms. My motto is “a translation should be like perfect glass through which the reader gazes at the original without any alteration whatsoever” (N. Gogol).
